May 95 Review No.: 9 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Title: Unknown Game: Doom 2 Filename: DM2CEM.ZIP Size: 68k Author: Unknown e-mail: Unknown Maps: MAP01 Type: normal level Sounds: No Graphics: No Music: No [ Level construction ] ---------------------------------------------- A big labyrinth. Very dark at all, it is designed like a cemetery with lot of graves. Nice athmosphere, but illogical at all. You have to push same gravestones to open doors, activate lifts etc. Nice idea, but the whole level could be much more clear. [ Texture design ] -------------------------------------------------- It's very dark, so you will not notice most of the misaligned textures. Sometimes the author used some very strange textures, looks ugly at some places. All looks quite the same, you HAVE to use the map to know where you are. [ Bugs ] ------------------------------------------------------------ No Tutti-Frutti, Medusa or HOM effect. In fact, I didn't SEE any- thing. ;) [ Enemies ] --------------------------------------------------------- Enemies are well placed. They are at most attacking from behind or from small vast places. Save often! [ Things ] ---------------------------------------------------------- There are some 100% spheres and a LOT of trees and other things. Could be more ammo and little health packs. [ Scoring ] --------------------------------------------------------- 60% Worth downloading. But it's much to dark I think. ---------------------------------------------------------------------
