The following is a list of steps you should follow when upgrading from TGWave v1.01 to v1.10. If you are installing TGWave for the first time, then ignore this file, and read INSTALL.DOC for first-time installation instructions. Please follow all of these steps to ensure the upgrade process goes as smoothly as possible. Also, PLEASE read through WHATSNEW.110 carefully before you proceed. That aside, the following is a step-by-step explanation of how you should upgrade: (1) Unpack TGWAV110.ZIP into a separate directory, read README.TXT and WHATSNEW.110 files before proceeding to follow the rest of the steps. (2) Run INSTALL.EXE, and select "Upgrade from previous version". Then enter the path where your current copy of TGWave is located. INSTALL will unpack the new version, and update TGWave's data files. TGWave v1.10 is now installed on your system. (3) Update your ENGLISH.TGW file with the new strings. Since the actual language file was accidentally left out of the TGWave v1.01 archive, for this step, most sysops will only need to COPY the ENGLISH.* files to their language directory. If you have made changes to the language file, you will want to add the new strings manually so that you don't lose any changes you've made. (4) Update your *.TPL files (TGWAREA.TPL, etc.). As in step #3, most sysops will only need to "UNZIP samples\TGW_TEXT *.TPL" and overwrite the current file, but if you've made changes to your area selection template file, you may wish to update it manually (the only real difference is that the ~&b## MCI code is now 3 characters instead of two). (5) You'll probably also want to update your TGWAREAS.HLP file, since a few new commands have been added to the areas selection prompt. (6) It is now safe to delete C:\telegard\data\CONFRENC.DAT - TGWave no longer requires it. TGWave also no longer requires SHARE.EXE to be loaded in order to work properly.
