PUA For DOS is a set of batch files designed to enhance the life of any
 computer user.  Power Users' Aliases for DOS, as the name implies, are
small utilities which do nothing but save your valuable time.  Best of
all, all of the utilities here are completely public domain, which not
only means that you are free to use and modify all of them as you wish,
but you can use them in any of your applications since there is no
copyright held on any of the batch (.BAT) or BASIC (.BAS) files.  The
.COM files may be distributed for noncommercial use free but may not be
sold or used in commercial applications.
The highlights of this set are probably the 4DOS detector and ANSI detector.
