================================================================ Title : BEACON Filename : BEACON.WAD Author : Ernie Miller Email Address : UN037277@vaxa.wvnet.edu Misc. Author Info : Student at West Virginia University, and aspiring game programmer. Description : This is a DEATHMATCH WAD! Yes, there are co-op starts in it, and yes, you can play it co-op if you _really_ want to, but it's kind of pointless. The exit is visible almost as soon as you start and there are only enough monsters to make DM play a little interesting for those who don't use the -nomonsters parameter. So PLEASE don't e-mail me about how bad this WAD sucks in single or co-op modes. I made it for my friends and I to DM in, and don't really care if it plays in any other mode... That said, I do hope you enjoy it... If you're wondering about the name, it's named for the large lighthouse-like structure in the SW corner of the map, which is a warning beacon to all other players if someone attempts to get the BFG in the building to the east. It'll take you well over a minute to get it and get out, so try for it at your own risk! Additional Credits to : Ben Morris - The incredible author of DCK (a little tricky to get up and running, but it's one of the best level editors I've seen -- and it's FREEWARE!!!) Dennis Moller - author of NewWadTool Phil Wheeler - For the T2 music from PTULTRA.WAD Herb Myers - for helping me playtest the map. ================================================================ * Play Information * Game : DOOM II Map # : MAP 01 Single Player : Yes (not too exciting, though...)
