What is this newsgroup about? What posts belong here?
comp.infosystems.www.authoring.cgi is a forum for the discussion of
CGI scripts. CGI scripts are programs which are installed on web
servers in order to generate a dynamic response to a request for
a document, instead of serving up a canned HTML file. If your
question relates directly to CGI, and is not covered in this
FAQ, it belongs in this newsgroup.
If not, consider this list
of newsgroups in the comp.infosystems.www hierarchy and check
out the most appropriate group. If possible, use the most specific
group that relates to your topic, rather than a .misc group.
This posting is only an excerpt from the complete WWW FAQ. See
the next section for information on accessing the complete FAQ
once you have web access.
