                   Installation Instructions

NOTE: If you are reading this from the INSTALL program's initial window,
          please skip down to 'Running INSTALL.EXE'

FTP-It! can be installed from either of two sources

    - The product diskette, available from BMT Micro

    - The installation ZIP, ftpit211.exe, that you can download from many of
         the popular FTP sites

If installing from the product diskette

    - Insert the product diskette in drive A:

    - Open an OS/2 command window

    - Type A: and press ENTER

    - Type INSTALL and press ENTER

    - Skip down to 'Running INSTALL.EXE'

  NOTE: IT IS IMPORTANT to enter A: and INSTALL as SEPARATE COMMANDS
          PLEASE DO NOT ENTER A:INSTALL

If installing FTP-It! from the installation ZIP that has been downloaded
  into the temporary directory C:\TEMP

    - Open an OS/2 command window

    - Type  C:  and press ENTER

    - Type  CD \TEMP  and press ENTER

    - Type  ftpit211  and press ENTER to extract the installation files

    - Type INSTALL and press ENTER

    - Skip down to 'Running INSTALL.EXE'

Running INSTALL.EXE

  At this point you should be reading this from the INSTALL program window

  - Click 'Actions' on the menu bar and then click 'Install Product'

  - Wait for the 'Installation directory' window

  - Change the destination drive and/or directory if you want to

     NOTE: PLEASE don't change anything else on this window

  - Press ENTER

  - Verify the location of the installation files is correct, and
     change it if necessary

  - Press ENTER and wait for installation to complete

  - Press and hold ALT and press F4 to close the installation program
