SemPoint v2.21 for Windows

Thank you for trying SemPoint!

SemPoint is a truly powerful and multifunctional OffLine Reader (OLR).
It is useful to BBS Sysops and Points in FidoNet technology, because it 
can handle message bases in Fido (*.MSG), Squish, JAM, Hudson and Ezy 
formats.
It is useful to BBS users also, because it can read (and write) mail packets
in the popular QWK and BlueWave formats, storing them in a permanent
message base on your hard disk (see online help for details).
Plus, if you can download USENET Newsgroups as a plain text file from your
Internet provider, then you'll be able to "import" Newsgroups' messages in a
permanent message base and to read them easily with SemPoint.


Minimum hardware and software requirementes to use SemPoint are:

- a 286-based PC or more
- 2 megabytes of free hard disk space
- VGA or S-VGA graphics card
- mouse
- MS-Windows 3.10 (or later) or IBM-OS/2 2.1 (or later) with installed 
Win-OS/2 support



INSTALLATION
============
An automatic installation program (SETUP.EXE) is provided. To run it, please
follow these steps:

1) uncompress SEMP221.ZIP on a temporary directory on the hard disk
   (e.g. C:\TMP)
2) from Windows' Program Manager select File | Run...
   (Windows 95 users: select "Run..." from the Start button)
3) type C:\TMP\SETUP <ENTER>
   (if C:\TMP is the temporary directory name)
4) after installing delete the temporary directory

To uninstall SemPoint please refer to the online help.
