Using it for more than 30 days AND 30 hours: You can test for one year if you use it just some minutes a day, if you use it more than 30 hours your limit will be 30 days). email will change from 2-nov-95 going on: tweety@torino.alpcom.it For Version 1.3 we will provide (as time and money will allow) - will also support 16bit processing on timestretch and filters. - rhythmic analysis - block operations - Registration via Audio-Card if CD doesn't support raw sectors reading (like the Soundblaster stuff, so you don't need to switch application). 1.) System Requirements ----------------------- The Program requires MS-DOS version 6.0 or later, Windows 3.1, 1.5M Byte of disk space, a Soundcard and a CD-ROM drive to fully access all of Tartaruga's features. 2.) The Program Files --------------------- The shipped zipfile also contains the following text files: BBS.TXT, VENDOR.TXT and REGISTER.TXT. The archive file for BBS, FTP and other sites is "TURTLE##.???" where ## is the version number (now 11 for version 1.1) and where ??? is the file extension, which will depend upon the archiving method used (it may be ZIP, ARJ, etc.). Short Program Description for BBS: >Tartaruga: >- Transfer raw CD-Audio data to WAV format (digital copy) >- Slow down and expand time of wave files without > changing the Pitch. This is great for analysing high speed > solos and phrasings, or learning to play by ear. >- Filters help you to isolate specific notes and instruments > used by artists in their solos >- A special wave player lets you listen to the processed sounds 3) Backing up the files ----------------------- Please make a back up the Tartaruga files before you install the program. (at least back up the zip-file). The program checks for corrupted files (this can be due to hardware failure, a virus, attempts to hack the program or many other reasons) and will not run if the files do not check out. In that event, you can only recover corrupted files from your backup. 3.5) Installing Tartaruga ------------------------- To install Tartaruga, first, unzip the archive file TURTLE11.ZIP to a floppy disk. Then start Windows, and run Tarturaga's setup program by selecting the run command from the file menu and enter A:SETUP. If you have copied the files in a temporary directory on your harddrive or you got a Versione on CD-ROM you have to launch the SETUP.EXE from this specific drive and directory. Follow the instructions in the SETUP-programme. 4) Copy Protection ------------------ Tartaruga is copy protected and will not give you full access to all of the features in the unregistered version. You can use and evaluate the program for 30 days or 30 hours, before you have to obtain a software license and register the program. 5) Shareware Concept -------------------- You may copy the program file "turtle##.zip" as long as you do not change it.
