--PRINTBMP-- PRINTBMP is a shareware Windows program designed to give users an easy way to control the size of printed BMP files. --WHY PRINTBMP?-- The idea behind PRINTBMP is to give people a way of transferring the art that exists in the computer to the outside world. The printout is not intended to be the finished product, it is just a part of something more. It doesn't matter if you are making a sign or a work of art, having the computer as another tool should make the job easier. --GETTING STARTED-- To save download time no set-up program is included. The only two files needed to run PRINTBMP are PRINTBMP.EXE and PRINTBMP.HLP, make sure they are in the same directory. The sample BMP files are provided to allow you to try the program out. Of course you can also use any other BMP files you have. The program can be started from the 'Run' option in Program Manager or File Manager. You can also create an icon in any program group. See your Windows documentation if you are unfamiliar with this procedure. --THE SAMPLES-- Four sample BMP files are provided with this program... MSCAMEL.BMP MSELEPH.BMP MSLION.BMP JODILIN.BMP The first three are sketches done by Jodi Lin. They were then scanned with a black and white hand scanner. The last picture is a video capture of Jodi Lin standing in front of some pictures and a sign printed with the program PRINTBIG. --PRINTBIG-- PRINTBIG is an evolutionary step from PRINTBMP. It adds the ability to go beyond the size of a page. PRINTBIG prints large copies by printing the BMP file on multiple pages that are then taped or glued together. PRINTBIG can be purchased from Mystery Computer Enterprises, see the PRINTBMP help file for instructions on how to order the program. --DISCLAIMER-- PRINTBMP is supplied as is.
