October, 1995 ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ The 919 Area Code BBS List was born in October 1995 out of a need for a dependable, accurate listing of all of the bulletin boards in the 919 area code. The introduction of the 919 Area Code BBS Listing has brought a few new items that have never occurred in previous listings of the area: Phone Dirs: Actual dialing directories of the 919 Area Code in your favorite communications' program format. Dependability: The 919 Area Code BBS List will be released on a monthly basis. Guaranteed. Accuracy: Every bulletin board on this list has been called and verified. We even provide you with the actual date we logged on! We actually call every bbs! Convenience: The listing is distributed in three, easy to read formats: ASCII, ANSI, and in PCBoard codes. You won't find this listing riddled with codes and symbols that have no meaning unless you have to cross reference them against a table at the end of the listing. Everything is presented to you in plain, easy to read, English. ÚÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ¿ ³The 919 Area Code BBS Listing Staff³ ÀÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÙ The BBS List would not be possible without the following people: Mike Hare, The Programmer Mike wrote, from scratch, all of the software that makes it possible to compile and create the listing. It can be said that the 919 BBS Listing would not exist in it's present state if it were not for Mike and his brilliant programming. If you have any Windows programming needs, it would be well worth your time to give Mike a call. He can be contacted via WILDHARE bbs. Paul Newton, The Author Paul has spent a great deal of time and money verifying each and every bbs included in the listing. Aside from providing the coordination and organization to the publication, he also provides his bbs, ArenA, as the home of the BBS listing.
