Soaps for Thursday December 28, 1995 *Days of Our Lives* Marlena confides to Stefano that she is touched by his generosity. He spots the Lady in White peeking at the door but when Marlena turns to see her, she's gone. Stefano remembers the dress she was wearing and has a flashback to the past. Stefano informs Marlena that John also saw this same mystery woman. Kristen mothers John with kisses and asks him to make love to her. He gently turns her down, saying he doesn't think it's the right time. The Lady in White remembers being hurt by a man who said he loved her. Sami asks Vivian to send Carrie out of town. Vivian instead calls Carrie to wish her a Happy New Year. Vivian suggests that Sami needs to go all the way to get Carrie out of her hair for good. *The Young and the Restless* Victoria lets Ryan know that he is still wanted back at his old job. When she talks about her visit with Nick, he comforts her. Nina spots them together from the doorway. Revealing what she saw at the office, Nina tells Flo that she wishes she was prettier and smarter. Flo suggests that she stop putting herself down and realize all that she has accomplished. Ryan assures Victoria that he's in love with Nina and respects and admires her for being a great mother and wife. At a restaurant, Mari Jo talks Jill into sending a drink over to a man at another table. Ellis King, one of the largest realtors stops by and thanks Jill. After Mari Jo heads out, Jill dances with Ellis and he hands her his card before saying good night. *The City* Steffi teases Jocelyn about her big date as the attorney heads down to The City for the building's private New Year's Eve bash. Tony finally relaxes and grins once more after verifying that Cooper boarded the flight back to Paris. Upstairs, however, Steffi is startled to once again find Cooper at her door. Explaining how he left the plane just moments before take-off, Cooper angrily informs his old flame that he refuses to leave his child now that he's aware of its existence. Blackmailed into becoming Tess' unwilling accomplice, Bernardo jimmies the lock on the penthouse's elevator and jams the apartment's security alarm system as well. Glumly rehearsing for his first set, Nick tells Buck he can't imagine anything worse than being sober on New Year's Eve. *All My Children* Brandishing the crumpled letter Liza fished out of her wastebasket, Tad furiously demands to know why his wife failed to report that one of her college classmates made a pass at her. Dixie tries to shrug off the incident as a harmless kiss, then hints that she may have been tempted to follow through with the flirtation because she's been so badly neglected by her workaholic husband. Marion nags her daughter to move out of the hotel and into a condo. As they tour one of her real estate listings, Marion surprises Liza with an emotional and heartfelt plea to put their differences behind them once and for all. Overhearing Scott berating Kevin for allowing a gay teacher to tutor him, Michael is disheartened to realize that the boy fears he's being "recruited" as a possible sex partner. *The Bold and the Beautiful* Stephanie confides to Taylor that she thinks that Brooke is having an affair. Taylor doubts the claim and tells Stephanie that flowers don't mean anything. Stephanie accuses Taylor of still being in love with Ridge and Taylor's forced to admit it. Stephanie urges her to do something to win back Ridge and warns her that it's going to be a big mistake to try and forget the love she has for her son. Ridge interrupts their meeting to talk with Taylor about a project. The two head into the elevator but on the way down, the elevator stalls and the lights suddenly go out. Stephanie smiles after having hit the circuit breaker. Brooke arrives at Sheila's place and warns her that they cannot be friends. *As the World Turns* Due to live coverage of the Sun Bowl, "As the World Turns" will not air on Friday, December 29 and will not air on New Year's Day. Rosanna and Mike become upset when Carly shows up at Yo's. Though Mike claims he didn't ask her to be there, Rosanna has her doubts and Scott does his best to convince her that Mike and Carly are a coo-some twosome. Brian McKnight takes the stage to sing Mike and Rosanna's song, "With Every Beat of My Heart." When Rosanna finally agrees to hear Mike out at the bar, he professes his love for her. Connor and Cal spend New Year's Eve separately. While Emma tries to convince Cal that he should go back to be with Connor, Carly's amused when Connor shows up at Yo's on her own. *Another World* Joe, Paulina, Nick and Sofia struggle to set up Carlino's for its opening. In the midst of this, Joe fields a call from Aunt Franny who is calling to check on Sofia. In spite of his claims that he's keeping an eye on Sofia, Franny decides to come to Bay City. Nick is surprised when his old friend, Rafael appears out of the blue. The two share stories about past jams they were in. When Nick offers Rafael a job at the restaurant, he cryptically declines. A hungover Maggie bitterly argues with Cecile about their relationship. Sharlene plays dumb when she returns to the farm and finds Felicia with John. When John reveals the truth about his affair with Felicia to Sharlene, she tells him to pack his things. *One Life to Live* As the residents of Llanview prepare to celebrate New Year's Eve, Cord scoffs at Tina's plan to let a computer dating service select her perfect match for the big night. After listening to Maggie's concerns, Andrew decides to go to Serenity Springs in hopes of persuading Max to have his son's hearing tested. Marty suggests to Dylan that they set a June wedding date but happily agrees to move the event up to March when her fiance claims he can't wait until spring. When Bo shows her the bullet holes in her late husband's sweater, Blair hysterically insists that they now have proof that Thornheart murdered Todd as part of the conspiracy headed up by Marty. *General Hospital* Hoping to derail his grandfather's master plan, Ned orders his attorneys to nullify Eddie Maine's contract as well as the sale of Brenda's shares to Edward. To his dismay, the lawyers report that fraud will be impossible to prove in this case because L&B would otherwise have been seized under the RICO laws and put into receivership. Robin invites Brenda to come with her and Sonny as they head out to scatter Stone's ashes. Declining with thanks, Brenda sadly explains that her relationship with Sonny has soured yet again for reasons she doesn't quite understand. Disappointed to see A.J. stagger into the Foundation office, Keesha begs her friend to stop destroying himself with alcohol. *Guiding Light* Due to live coverage of the Sun Bowl, "Guiding Light" will not air on Friday, December 29 and will not air on New Year's Day. Alan can't believe it when Reva prepares to attend the Big New Year's Eve ball. He urges her to think again about going. Reva is completely undone when she receives the restraining order keeping her from her children and vows to show all of Springfield that she is not going to leave town. Goading her into action, Alan agrees to attend the ball with her. Michelle helps Abigail find the right costume for tonight's ball while she shocks Ed by dressing as Madonna. When Annie agrees to the annulment, Josh promises her that they'll have a magical evening. As the ball begins, there are gasps from those assembled when Alan and an outrageously dressed Reva make their entrance.
