ABBREVIATED THEXDER DEMO
 
This is a brief demo of Thexder for Windows 95. Thexder is designed to only work
in Windows 95.  It will not run under any other operating systems. For information
on how to play Thexder, please look at the Online Manual under HELP|CONTENTS
in the Thexder menu bar.

You will have to purchase the retail version of the game to try multi-player
network play. Thexder is available in retail outlets everywhere or you may order 
it directly from Sierra at 1-800-757-7707, The Sierra BBS, CompuServe or 
via World Wide Web at HTTP://WWW.SIERRA.COM.

1. In the demo, there are only 5 levels available. In the full 
game there are 50 levels.

2. In the demo, the only available graphic resolution is low resolution.
In the full game there are three resolutions-low, medium, and high.

3. There are a limited number of sounds in the demo. In the full game
there are over 200 different sound effects and over 2 hours of soundtrack 
music.  Note:  With some configurations this demo may not give you any sound. 
If this occurs with your system, you may obtain the complete demo from CDs 
distributed with various PC Game publications.

4.  When running this demo, you may receive the message, "Sound Mixing Not
Supported."  This means that either the drivers for Microsoft Direct Sound
have not been previously installed on your system, or your sound card does 
not support Direct Sound (i.e. an 8-bit sound card).  If this happens, you 
will hear only basic game sounds.  The Microsoft drivers give you better 
sound quality and sound mixing.  They are included with the complete demo 
and the retail game.
