I mainly keep the whatsnew.txt around for personal use and don't always put one in the .ZIP file. But when I make important changes and/or changes that might not be noticed at first glance, I usually include it so you can see what has been done. SG v3.5 >Moved the built-in configuration of Security Guard to its own program, SETUP.EXE >Added option of Extended Help in SETUP.EXE >Added option of Anti-Virus program. -Days setting -Program to use & path >Made the Defaults usable at any time >Added option of an Exit Text >Modified choice selection =Instead of typing a number for the desired selection, all you have to do is use the UP/DOWN arrow keys or the 8/2 keys to move the selector to your choice. >Bug fix in Sensitivity option >Took out password.cfg SG v3.6 >Reconfigured SETUP.EXE -Now supports text colors -Moved Log File Options to its own selection menu -Moved Anti-Virus Options to its own selection menu >Replaced Exit Text display with an Exit File display =Will now display an entire text file of your choice and editing, at the end of the program instead of one personalized line >Anti-Virus Days setting now supports name of weekdays as well. =Will allow you to choose to run the Anti-Virus on Weekdays (Sunday - Saturday) if you do not wish to use the run every X amount of days. >Anti-Virus days can now be set up to 356 days if setting by the number of days. >When turning Anti-Virus option On, it will only automactically go through the path, program name and days if you have Extended Help "ON", otherwise you will have to set them manually SG v3.7 >Added Sentinel to Security Guard -Watches view commands -Watches change commands -Watches misc commands -Watches runable commands -Watches up to 20 user defined commands -Placed in its own selection menu -Fail Safe option -Warning Display option (Read SENTINEL.DOC for more info) >Added Protect Option -Choice of use -Choice of 10 different back ups -Back Up SG option -Back Up DAT files option -What day to back up (same as Anti-Virus) >Added Directory Option -Choice of password protecting 20 different directories -Choice of password protecting sub-directories as well -Choice of using Master Passcode(s) or Visitor Passcode(s) >Bug fix with Anti-Virus =When extended help was turned off, and the path to the Anti-Virus was changed, SG would save the configuration in the Anti-Virus path. In otherwords, it was a big mess up because SG wouldn't be able to find the updated .CFG >Can Reset Anti-Virus Clock =When reset, the Anti-Virus clock begin time will be set to the time when reset >Anti-Virus Help =Displays help on two of the most common Anti-Virus programs (SCAN & TBav) >Bug fix with Passcode Verification in SETUP.EXE !!If you have the Lock Up phase enabled and a user enters the wrong !!passcode(s) in the passcode verification when in SETUP.EXE, !!SETUP.EXE will reset your computer and have SG automactically go to !!the lock up phase (extra step in taking care of "home friendly" !!hackers) >Bug fix with the Weekdays setting in the Anti-Virus =SG would get confused and not know exactly which weekday it actually was. So if you used the weekday setting, SG would run the Anti-Virus almost randomly. >Allowed user to define rather or not to record all times in the log file >Allowed user to define rather or not to record the incorrect passcode(s) entered. >Allowed user to define rather or not to keep a detailed log file. =The more detailed, the more bytes that will be used... >If "Delete Log File after..." is used, allowed user to choose rather or not to back up the log file before it is automactically deleted. >If you choose to have "Display Log File" turned on, when SETUP.EXE is run and the correct passcode(s) have been entered, SG will display the Log File before going to the main menu. Also if you use Sentinel and the Visitor Passcode(s) are entered, the log file will NOT be displayed. >Can view log file while in SETUP.EXE >Can reset log file from SETUP.EXE >Added new default for new setups. =Can now skip using any defaults or setting anything. Just need number of passcode(s) and the passcode(s) to use. >some minor bug fixes and changes
