I got sick of all the rubbish and secrecy revolving around Xtrieve and ddf files in general so I wrote my own Windows DDF Editor in VB3 using btrieve calls I'm sure that there are some mistakes, but this is what I could do with the docs I got hold of. It is a MDI application, allows you to edit fields and indexes for ddf files and will, if asked to, actually create the btrieve file for you. As a bonus you also get a btr.bas with all the Constants and calls available for you and a good little utility, Autotabs.bas that automatically sets tab stops on list boxes, and text boxes, according to the longest element, even if you're using proportional screen fonts.. no more of those ugly list boxes a' la compuserve ! you will need WBTRCALL.DLL (From wherever), VBRUN300.DLL, CMDIALOG.VBX and THREED.VBX all supplied with VB.. The program is supplied in source form so you can play with it, flame me.. whatever ! Hope you like it ! Francesco de Lagarda 100141.2023@compuserve.com sbt@dircon.co.uk
