******************************* * * * User's Manual Supplement * * * * CMEditor -- Version 3.60 * * * ******************************* The following features have been added or improved since the the CMEditor Version 3.18c User's Manual: String searching: The Find-string command now seeds the search string data entry window with whatever word of text the cursor is on when Alt-F is pressed. The previous search string can be restored into the data window with the up arrow. Also a new string-finding aid has been added; Ctrl-G (for "Goto next same word"). When the cursor is placed on a word and Ctrl-G is pressed, the editor searches the file for the next appearance of that word and repositions to it. Unlike Alt-F, this search will recycle to the beginning of the file if necessary. Navigation improvements: Minor improvements have been made to the horizontal positioning of the cursor when navigating up and down through a file. Popup ASCII Table: The command Ctrl-A pops up an ASCII table for reference while editing or viewing a document. Navigate through the table with the Arrow keys or mouse, select the character desired, and press Enter or the left mouse button to type it at the current cursor position in the text. Or press Esc or the right mouse button to leave without typing. Miscellaneous: A colored highlight has been added to the lower left information area when CMEditor is in edit mode, as a visual cue. Also, next to the "Position" field in the lower right information area, which shows the absolute position in the file of the character the cursor is on, is a percent equivalent, to tell you approximately where in the file you are. The help facility (F1 or Alt-H) has been completely reworked. The numeric keypad has been enabled, such that when NUM LOCK is on, the keypad keys type numbers and symbols.
