THE ARENA version 1.5 4/6/96 ******************************** ANSI ********************************* This game was designed to use ANSI emulation and both bbs and remote computers must be using an ANSI device driver. This is generally done by adding the line device=c:\dos\ansi.sys to c:\config.sys. Remote BBS software should be set for ANSI emulation. ****************************** DROP FILE ****************************** The game is shipped with a dorinfo1.def file. This file should be removed if you are using another type of drop file such as door.sys. If you have both dorinfo1.def and door.sys in the same directory with the rest of the game, the game will not run. We include dorinfo1.def so that the game can be played locally (without a bbs) by 1) placing all of THE ARENA game files in the same directory (for example, c:\bbs\robot), 2) make that (c:\bbs\robot in our example) your current directory and 3) typing robot7 /l at the command prompt. ******************************* CACHE ********************************* The BBS computer should use some kind of hard drive cache, either software or hardware. Smartdrive works fine. Without a cache the program will probably run slow, but then everything else will run slow also (that's why we use a cache). Questions? Need more help?
