Ten years have passed since the Second War between Man and Orc.  After the
second war, all the surviving Orcs fled far to the north.  King Terenas had
let them live, thinking that they would be no major threat anymore.  However,
the Orcs have grown greatly in size and have created a huge army.

The Orcs swept out of their hiding place and the unexpected civilians of 
Quel'thalas were overwhelmed.  Although aid has arrived from Lordaeron, the
Orcs are slowly defeating the humans there.  Meanwhile, the Orcs have advanced
into Khaz Modan and Azeroth.  Since these two realms were greatly weakened 
after the Second War, they are not offering much resistance to the Orcs.

The Orcs also have built a navy and are taking over many of the islands of
the Great Sea, and may soon attempt to take the island of Kul Tiras.

About the same time the Orcs returned, Santa Claus, who was thought to be
simply a nice old man who gives presents to kids on Christmas, has gone
insane and is building a large army and plans to attack the Alliance from the
north.

You are a well-respected general of the nation of Stromgarde.  Since 
Stromgarde is not threatened by the Horde at the present time, the king has
decided to aid the other nations in their quest to defeat their enemies.

Early this morning, a message arrived from King Terenas of Lordaeron.  You
have been summoned to Stromgarde's castle, where you prepare to receive your
