How to register QFAX V1.05 QuickStar Fax Pro V1.05 is a shareware software. You may try it for 30 days in order to evaluate its usefulness to you. If you continue to use QFAX after the 30 days trial period, please register your copy of QFAX with the author. Please read the limited warranty statement at the end of this file and make sure you can agree with the terms. If you do not agree to my limited warranty terms, do not use QFAX. By simply using QFAX you have expressed that you agree to the warranty terms and you will use QFAX at your own risk. The registration is very easy and the registration fee is only $20. Once registered you will be able to enjoy additional features that can not be accessed in un-registered copies. You will get updated information of the latest version of this software. You will also get the next update of this of this software free. You will get technical help directly from the author if you run into any problems in using QFAX. Plus you will have peace of mind in using a paid and registered version of this software. I will be able to help you to solve specific problems related to the usage of QFAX in your computer should it occur, within 3 monthes after you register the software with me. If there is a problem occured within this 3 month period that I am unable to help you to solve, your registration fee will be promptly refunded. I will always be willing to answer any questions related to the usage of QFAX, but priority will be given to users who have registered my program. Please check informations provided near the end of this file to find out how to reach me for help and for registration. If you are running an un-registered version of QFAX, it will remind you for registration at the start of the program. It will also tell you the software serial number. Please write down that number. You will need to provide that number in order to register QFAX with me. If at the DOS promt of your PC computer, you type "qfax" with no file name or any thing follows it, it will display a short help message. But for more detailed information about the usage of QFAX, please read the file USAGE.TXT and follow the instructions. To register QFAX with me, you need to do the following: 1. Write down the software serial number that QFAX tells you. 2. Write down your name, address, E-Mail address, phone number 3. Briefly state that you wish to register QFAX. 4. Write a check or money order of $20 (twenty US dollars), payable to Mr. Anthony Mai. If you live in Pennsylvania please add 6% sales tax. The total will be $21.20. 5. Just print it out and fill it out and mail it together with the $20 registration fee. CompuServe members can register QFAX directly on CompuServe using the SWREG service of CompuServe. Just type "go swreg" to start. The SWREG Registration ID number assigned to QFAX is 8913. Or you can search using author name "Anthony Mai". If you see SWREG shows a different QFAX Version number other than the version you are registering, it is OK. As registered user you can always request license number for the newest version of QFAX. If you register through the CompuServe SWREG service, you still need to send me an E-Mail to provide me with your QFAX serial number. None USA users can use international traveler's cheques to pay for the registration fee. Or you may send cash in the envelop directly. Warning: mailing cash in regular envelops may not be allowed in some countries. And it is risky, though quite a number of QFAX users have registered by mailing cash in envelopes. If you send international traveler's cheques, make sure that you sign your name on both spaces provided for signatures on the cheque. And please make the cheque payable to Mr. Anthony Mai. Upon receiving your registration letter and the registration fee, I will provide you with a valid license number with which you can enter when QFAX asks for that number next time you run it. You only need to enter it once and it will become a registered version right away. I will use either the Internet E-Mail, CompuServe E-Mail, phone call or post mail to inform you of your license number. It is up to me to choose the appropriate method to send this license number to you. Limited Warrantty: The author of QFAX warrants that QFAX will work on your computer within three month after you register QFAX. If it doesn't work due to a problem that the author is unable to help, your registration fee will be refunded less $5 postage and handling fee, if it is within 3 monthes of your registration. The author expressly disclaims any warranty other than the above. And the author will not be held liable for any damage or loss due to the usage of QFAX. The QFAX is provided "as is" and should be used on the user's own risk. Under any circumstance the only compensation the user may get from the author is the pre-paid registration fee less a $5 postage and handling fee.
