CROSSLAB MS-DOS v1.0 INSTALL.TXT - Installation information Last updated: August, 1996 INSTALL This file contains information to help you install CROSSLAB. You must have a computer with a hard drive to continue. The following instructions assume that the hard disk is the C: drive. Place the disk in your A: or B: drive. The following instructions assume that the disk is in the B: drive, as that is common for a 2 floppy drive computer. If you place the disk in your A: drive, substitute A: for B: in the following commands. If the CROSSLAB files was compressed with PKZIP you must go to the MS-DOS Prompt and type the following commands: C: MD \CROSS CD \CROSS C:\PKWARE\PKUNZIP B:CROSSLAB.ZIP Above, the first command changes drive to C:. The second command creates the CROSS subdirectory. The third command changes directory to the CROSS subdirectory. The fourth command runs PKUNZIP.EXE (if it is in the C:\PKWARE subdirectory) and uncompresses CROSSLAB.ZIP to create the CROSSLAB files. If the CROSSLAB files was compressed with ARJ you must go to the MS-DOS Prompt and type the following commands: C: MD \CROSS CD \CROSS C:\BIN\ARJ E B:CROSSLAB.ARJ Above, the first command changes drive to C:. The second command creates the CROSS subdirectory. The third command changes directory to the CROSS subdirectory. The fourth command runs ARJ.EXE (if it is in the C:\BIN subdirectory) and uncompresses CROSSLAB.ARJ to create CROSSLAB files. Examine all .TXT files for instructions. UNINSTALL Delete all the files from the CROSS subdirectory. FINAL INSTRUCTIONS If you want to print INSTALL.TXT turn the printer on and type: COPY INSTALL.TXT PRN Please do not call Moroianu George for help in installing this disk.
