Book-It can be installed by running file SETUP.EXE from Windows File Manager, Program Manager or Windows 95 Start Button. Use the installation defaults where possible throughout the installation routine. The Book-It system will be installed in a directory of your choice. 

No changes will be made to your Windows INI files or system registry, however, the following files may be copied to your WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory if they do not exist or older versions are currently installed.

If you are upgrading your copy of Book-It you should first make a backup of your entire Book-It directory, then install this new version into your usual Book-It directory. The next time you run Book-It the system will detect that it has been upgraded and will automatically make any changes necessary to your existing data files so that they can be used with the new version.
