 If you already typed "INSTALL", then hit <Esc> when you've finished browsing
 this README.TXT text.  The INSTALL program will prepare your target disk;
 just follow the prompts.

                     --- NEW FEATURES IN LOG-EQF VERSION 8 ---

 1).  Easy BACKUP and RESTORE of logbook files from LOGBOOK SELECTION menu,
      includes compression and multi-disk spanning.

 2).  Merge or delete logbook files from the LOGBOOK SELECTION menu.

 3).  Expanded CW KEYER with 8 memories, weight adjustment, and keyboard
      keying while on the logging screen (with numeric keypad).

 4).  Selectable window on logging screen shows details on latest cluster
      spot, last 6 QSOs, TNC activity, or frequency/mode display.  Hit the
      <Alt> key while on the logging screen for this and other features!

 5).  Auto log feature for PacketCluster (tm) builds a logbook called
      CLUSTER.LOG automatically from DX spots heard.

 6).  TNC now listens and collects activity no matter what screen in Log-EQF
      you're using.

 7).  Send TNC macros while on the logging screen <Alt-5> thru <Alt-9>.

 8).  Command recall on TNC screen for last 10 commands.

 9).  HELP on TNC screen.

 10). New screen blanker is independant of machine interrupts.

 11). Additional user PREFERENCES setup.

 12). Additional DATE FORMATS, including 4-digit year entry (ready for the
      the year 2000!).

 13). Control page numbering on reports.

 14). Added SENT, RECEIVED, and NOTEPAD to searches and sorts.

 15). Added new QSL STATUS codes and popup reminder menu.
