T H E H E R O S ' G R A V E Y A R D v1.7 INTRODUCTION The Heros' Graveyard can be used for multiple things! However, the usage of The Heros' Graveyard encompases basically one. RPG lovers will absolutely fall in love with this little program. Put it on your BBS and you are set! The Heros' Graveyard is a place where your users can review over old characters that other users played in RPG games, and they can record their own characters that they have played if they wish. The program itself is pretty much self explainitory when you see it. The Heros' Graveyard was written to accomidate any type of role player! The characters can be from Medieval Europe to Futuristic Tokyo. Anything goes! Each user can record as many characters as he wants, and if he doesn't want one in the graveyard anymore then he can delete the entry! Now it is also available to users to edit entries which are currently in the graveyard which they have created. You, as the sysop, can delete or edit ANY entry you wish! If you have problems with lame users, just use the .SEC file to cut their access from the program! INSTALLATION To install the program, just put all the files that were in the .ZIP into a personal directory. I use C:\WCUTIL\HGRAVE myself, but you can use what you like. The next step is to run the .WCX file from a menu which you will define in MakeMenu. Being a sysop, I'll leave this one up to you. :) BANNING PEOPLE FROM THE DOOR If you do not wish to have a certain user or security level enter The Heros' Graveyard, that is fine! Just edit HGRAVE.SEC and place either one name or security level, as in MakeWild, per line! Have as many lines as you would like. The .SEC file has already been edited to give you an example. Remember BOTH names and security levels go! If a user is not allowed access, he is shown the HGRAVE.BBS file and the program is terminated. If you do not wish to have the HGRAVE.BBS file displayed then just delete it and it will appear as if the command on the menu was not even there. THE PROGRAM ITSELF Everything in the program is pretty much self explainitory, and I've covered most of the program in the introduction! A user may add as many entries as he or she would like. The Sysop or the user who created each entry may also delete it! A numeric chart, the REC#, on the top of each database entry shows where you are. If a record is deleted then that REC# will be overwritten by a new entry, therefore you give your computer HD a break for space! You may enter up to 999 entries. In the database, you can go forwards, backwards, or just to an entry! If the screen gets a bit messed up (it shouldn't) there is a Refresh command. I currently have added an EDIT command which will allow the editing of any aspect of the character which was entered. Characters may only be edited by those who put them in... well, except for the sysop of course! Also, now users can display a list of all the characters which they entered! DISCLAIMER I am not held responsible for any damages you may cause to your computer by use of this program. This program works perfectly fine on my computer, and it should on yours.
