TITLE                   : Europe 1914 (World War One)

DESCRIPTION             : The setting is Europe, the time is 1914. Europe is
                          at the brink of war. Diplomatic relationships have
                          yet to be established as six countries fight 
                          for the gold and wood that indicates power.
                          
                          This is the first (in what I hope to be) a series of
                          maps, representing areas of the world in which major
                          wars were fought. My aim has been to create a map
                          which will force players to talk, i.e to encourage
                          DIPLOMACY.
                          
                          Each player takes control of one of the six the 
                          major powers (England, France, Germany, Austria, Russia
                          and Turkey - Italy proved to be too small to play from),
                          and from there on must decide where to expand their
                          Empire. However, all will not be that simple, others will
                          be trying to do the same. Apart from the main powers, there
                          exist a number of neutral countries (represented by the 
                          computer) who, though guarded, should be easy targets.

                          If you like this map, contact me and I'll be encouraged to build
                          more. Perhaps you could give me a suggestion a place I could base
                          the next map on.

                          Watch out for the next in the series of these wonderful maps which
                          will most probably be based in Asia.

                          NOTE:
                          
                          When setting up the game, put the option of starting units to
                          map default. Even though I have not given countries any military
                          units (this was done to make the map as fair as possible), Russia
                          has been given two peons so that she can fairly cover her large land
                          mass.

BASE                    : New level from scratch
BUILD TIME              : A very long time. I spent a most of it test-playing
                          to get the map just perfect, though I'm still slightly
                          unsure about the amount of resources.
