Welcome to PolyScript! ====================== Before installation, all of the PolyScript distribution files should be on a diskette or in a temporary directory. To install, run "setup.exe" from the Program Manager. The PolyScript Debugger is configured to run a script called "rtexampl.scr". The PolyScript Runtime Example is configured to run "rtexampl.ply" which is a "compiled" version of the same script. After you have played with the debugger a bit, you will want to work with other script files from the example directory. It will be easier to do this if you change the command line for the Debugger. In the Program Manager, select the PolyScript Debugger. From the Program Manager Menu, select File|Properties to reach the Program Item Properties dialog box. The command line edit box should contain: C:\POLYSCR\polydbg.exe .\scripts\rtexampl.scr com2:9600,e,7,1 -dc Done! Change this to: C:\POLYSCR\polydbg.exe Of course, if you changed the path to the PolyScript directory from "C:\POLYSCR" during installation, the command lines above will change accordingly. You should change the command line because command line arguments override the default configuration that is loaded when you start the Debugger, and saved when you exit. The PolyScript Reference help file discusses the use of command line arguments in detail.
