New modes for the Mallard Hawaii Scenery Disk (MS-1) Although I enjoy FS5 (despite the bugs), I prefer to fly around the Hawaiian Islands. I tried Mallard's advice on setting up MS-1 through MS-4 and found that it worked. Almost. The modes that came with the disks didn't seem to work properly, causing crashes, both aircraft and computer. These modes that I have created seem to eliminate most of the trouble. I have included all of the airports listed on the map that came with the MS-1 disk, therefore there are more modes than were provided by Mallard. They were created in the span of an hour using the maps that came with MS-1, so please excuse me if they position you on the wrong end of the runway. Another word of caution: these were created for use on my 486/66 (including VLB SpeedStarPro SVGA card and VLB caching controller w/ 4MB) and are set for maximum detail and highest image quality; if the detail level is too high for your system, change the detail settings and re-save them. But at the very least they are a start. To use, unzip into your \PILOTS subdirectory. I believe that is all that is necessary. Please feel free to modify them to suit your needs.
