Also of potential interest is Randchar a random charcter generator for the AD&D game. This program even has a monster hit point generator. Notes: People who have a use for this program don't need definitions to most of the words encountered in the program, however the word seed may cause some confusion. Seed: an integer, enter a whole number. Randtres is largely a menu-driven program, when running a menu will appear with available choices. Entering the letter corresponding to each choice that character will be generated. To quit the program the letter q should be entered as your choice, this is on the menu but I thought I should point this out. Randtres will also work for the D&D game, however many of the items contained are not found in the D&D game. Restricting usage to weapons and armor should make most items generated relevant (but if you still don't know what the item is you should probally just ignore it). Finally, remember if this program generated an item which you'd rather not have in your campaign just ignore it. You're the DM, I'm just another DM who wrote a computer program. This program was written using materials drawn from: David "Zeb" Cook, Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd edition Dungeons Master's Guide. Random House: 1989.
