EARTHQUAKE Zeeno COMMON QUESTIONS AND PROBLEMS
-----------------------------------------------

This game is best played in VGA mode with all other windows 
applications closed. 

SCREEN SAVERS
-------------

While playing the EARTHQUAKE Zeeno games, you may want to disable
any screen savers that are enabled.

SPEED
-----

Low end machines may set the play speed to FAST or CRAZY to get
better performance. For most 386's to 486-33's make sure the 
speed scroll bar (in Zeeno's Menu) is to the left. Placing it
to the right (near Alpha) will make zeeno run in slow motion.

The scroll bar controls how fast or slow Zeeno moves.

For most 386's and 486's set the scroll bar to the leftmost
position. For High performance 486-66's set the scroll bar
to the mid point. Note some 486-66's perform like 486-33's,
so try it out until Zeeno's movements feel right. Zeeno should
be slow enough to control, unless you have played this game a
few times and want Zeeno to Zoom. Just dont send Zeeno into 
HyperDrive.

For those lucky few who own high performance machines, set 
the scroll bar to the right of the midpoint. Play with the
setting until Zeeno's movements feel right.

You can use this bar to set Zeeno's speed you like. It defaults
to the leftmost position.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
--------------------

	MS Windows 3.1
	386-25 with 4 MB of RAM
	At least 3 MB Disk space
	Mouse
	Optional Sound Card (Sound Blaster compatible)

 
SCREEN NOISE:
------------
	    
   Some monitor modes cause a flicker. Do not use monitor 
   modes with large fonts. VGA is the recommended mode.

   If the game controls do not come up, it is probably due to 
   large fonts. Exit windows and goto DOS. In your windows 
   directory type 'setup'. Select VGA as your display mode. 
   Make sure that a mode with small fonts is selected.


MONITOR DISPLAY MODES
---------------------

  1. Monitor modes with LARGE FONTS are not supported.
  2. Monitor modes with resolutions higher than super VGA
     may cause an irritating flicker and high refresh rates.

MOUSE LOOKAHEAD:
---------------
  
   Mouse Button: Pressing the button several times, before 
   Zeeno has moved retains all the moves. 
   
   Try and calculate your moves. Each mouse click is single step
   or jump. Dont panic during an earthquake, stop, cover and ride
   the quake out!        

LOW MEMORY:
----------

   Messages

   1. OUT OF MEMORY
   2. Cannot create AUTODRAW image

   Memory Problems. In today's time it is best to add more
   memory. Try and get someone who knows how to configure
   memory to set up your PC. This game requires a minimum 
   of 4 megs memory. 
   
   POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS: 
 
	1. Close all other applications, including screen savers. 
      	   Restart Earthquake Zeeno. If this fails goto step 2.

 	2. Exit windows and start windows again. Repeat Step 1
		       
   	3. Ask someone if your Windows SWAP file is optimized.
	   It is done via the control panel. 

        4. Try using 16 color VGA mode since your Video card 
	   may not be able to handle higher resolutions well. 
           
SOUND:
------

   If you are using a sound driver without a sound card, 
   Zeeno may slow down. If this is the case turn the sound 
   off by clicking on the sound button. 

   All sound blaster compatible sound cards are supported.

WINDOWS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
---------------------------------

   1.   Go into the Program Manager menu 
   2.   Select File
   3.   Place the install disk in drive A: or B:
   4.   Select RUN from the File Menu
   5.   Select SETUP.EXE from disk A: or B: (eg b:\setup.exe) 
   6.   Click on OK and let it happen
 
   If windows hangs after installing. Exit windows and start 
   windows again. The program should run fine after this.

  
   If the setup procedure asks for "DDE link" at the end of
   install, simply select CLOSE, and play the game
     
  
ERRORS IN WINDOWS
-----------------

   If the application fails in windows, exit windows and 
   restart your computer to avoid a replay of the same error.

   Close all other applications such as clocks and screen 
   savers

   Please report these errors back to ZeenoMation 
   Entertainment(TM). We will make every attempt to fix them.

	6. Other Windows applications running at the 
           same time. (eg Clock, Paint)

	7. Machine type: (eg 386, 33Mhz)

	8. Memory (8 megs)

	9. Free disk space (eg 10 Megs)

       10. Version of windows (eg WINDOWS 3.11)

       11. Version of DOS (DOS 6.2)
