The file is formatted for use with the Ziff Viewer (ZVIEW), which is included. ZVIEW is a 'structured text' viewer that allows you to view specially formatted files in an outline-like format. ZVIEW will give you the benefit of organization: the tips are arranged hierarchically and by topic, so that you need only select the category of tips you're interested in and go right to the information you need. The information is also extensively cross-referenced; finally, full-text search capabilities are also available.

The file that you will receive is compressed, and needs to be unzipped before you use it. If you do not have PKUNZIP.EXE, you can find it in several forums on ZiffNet, including the PBS Applications forum (GO PBSAPPS) in Library 3, "DOS Utilities." Its file name is PKZ110.EXE.

Once you have unzipped the file, type ZVIEW WINDOWS.ZDG to start ZVIEW. Now you're all set to start learning more about Windows!
