NOTES ABOUT NDWTIME.EXE VERSION 2.0 =================================== NDWTIME.EXE is the Norton Desktop for Windows Time and Date Program. It places the time and date on the title bar of the Norton Desktop for Windows. The program can be used in place of the NDWTIME.WBT file which was included with the Norton Desktop for Windows version 1.0 as a sample Batch Builder file. The executable version is more configurable and does not require Batch Runner to be active reducing system overhead. NDWTIME.EXE will only run under the Norton Desktop for Windows. NDWTIME can be placed in the AutoStart group so that it will be launched whenever windows is started. INSTALLING NDWTIME.EXE ====================== To install, copy the files NDWTIME.EXE and NDWTIME.HLP to your Norton Desktop directory. CREATING AN ICON FOR NDWTIME ============================ To create an icon within a Quick Access group window: ----------------------------------------------------- 1) Open a Norton Desktop drive window for the disk that Norton Desktop resides on. 2) Open the Quick Access group window that the NDWTIME icon will reside in. 3) In the drive window, find the Norton Desktop directory and highlight it in the directory tree. 4) On the right side of the drive window, find the file NDWTIME.EXE and drag it into the open Quick Access group window. To create an icon on the desktop: --------------------------------- 1) Open a Norton Desktop drive window for the disk that Norton Desktop resides on. 2) In the open drive window, find the Norton Desktop directory and highlight it in the directory tree. 3) On the right side of the drive window, find the file NDWTIME.EXE and drag it out of the drive window and on to the desktop.
