To use these macros, do the following: 1. Quit Windows so that you are at the MS-DOS command prompt. 2. Insert the enclosed WD0523 disk in your floppy disk drive. 3. At the MS-DOS command prompt, type the following and press ENTER copy :\macros.doc where is the floppy disk drive containing the WD0523 disk and is the location of your Word for Windows program directory. For example, if the WD0523 disk is in drive B and your Word for Windows directory is on drive C and is named WINWORD, type the following and press ENTER: copy b:\macros.doc c:\winword 4. Start Windows by typing WIN at the command prompt. 5. Start Word for Windows. Then from the File menu, choose Open. 6. Locate and select the MACROS.DOC file in the Word for Windows program directory. Choose the OK button to open the MACROS.DOC file. 7. To globally install a macro, select the macro name and choose the Install button. To learn about a macro, select the macro you want from the Macro Name list and choose the About button. NOTE: After each macro installs, a dialog box will appear stating, "macroname saved to Global successfully." Choose the OK button. Another dialog box will appear asking, "Do you want to save global, glossary, and command changes?" Choose the Yes button. To run the macros that you install using the instructions above, choose Macro from the Tools menu, select the appropriate macro name from the Macro Name box, and choose the Run button. Additional Files on Disk for Use with the Concordance Index List Macro The enclosed WD0523 disk contains two additional files, INDXWRDS.DOC and INDXWRDS.DOT, for use with the Concordance Index List macro. For information about these files, see the "Concordance Index List" section of MACROS.DOC. If you install the Concordance Index List macro from MACROS.DOC, use the following instructions to copy the INDXWRDS.DOC and INDXWRDS.DOT files to your hard disk: 1. Quit Windows so that you are at the MS-DOS command prompt. 2. Insert the enclosed WD0523 disk in your floppy disk drive. 3. At the MS-DOS command prompt, type the following and press ENTER copy :\i*.* where is the floppy disk drive containing the WD0523 disk and is the location of your Word for Windows program directory. For example, if the WD0523 disk is in drive B and your Word for Windows directory is on drive C and is named WINWORD, type the following and press ENTER: copy b:\i*.* c:\winword
