The included files fix two problems with After Dark for Windows 2.0. The first problem concerns the Sound Blaster card operationing in Windows stadard mode. This problem only happen with Windows 3.0. and was manifested in the Sound Blaster card not omitting sound in this mode. The file - AD_SB.DRV - should be copied into the After Dark directory. The second files fixes the infamous "black & white" problem. The file - AD_RSRC.DLL - should be copied into the Windows directory. This DLL replaces the current file which has a bug that causes the screen to be turned monochromatic. This occured when the following modules where used: AQUATIC REALM, CLOCKS, FLYING TOASTERS, GLOBES, MARBLES, PLANETSIDE, SPACE TOASTERS, SWAN LAKE, TIMES UP We believe that this may also alleviate the problem with the above modules in Randomizer where the system would hang if any of these modules were used in a Randomizer selection. If after installing this fix your screen is turned black when using the above modules (this has only happened with 2 of 114 people to whom we sent the fix) you should change the following line in AD_PREFS.INI from SwapPalette=1 to SwapPalette=0 AD_PREFS.INI may be found in your Windows directory. It may be edited with any text editor such as the MSDOS 5.0 editor or Windows' Notepad. The above line can be found at the bottom of this file. Please continue to post your mailing address, phone number and the size of the diskette that you want. We will send you the complete revision.
