Now that you have selected the DOS directory for backup, you must choose the drive that you want to copy the files to. For this demonstration use the default, floppy disk drive A:. Immediately below the Backup To list box, the Norton Backup provides some statistics regarding the backup you are about to perform. One of the statistics displays the number of floppy disks required for this backup. Depending on the type and density of your A: drive, the number of floppy disks required will vary. For example, all files in an average DOS 5.0 directory will add up to approximately 2.5MB of data. Thus, if your A: drive is a 5.25-inch high-density floppy drive, it would require two or three 5.25-inch high-density floppy disks. The actual number of disks may vary depending on the data compression that is achieved by Norton Backup. Once you have enough high-density floppy disks of the same type as your A: drive, press Enter to begin the backup. Follow the on-screen instructions. When the backup is complete, the Advisor will return you to the main menu. Press Enter or click OK to continue.
