Voice Match Version 2.0 Educational Software for the Multimedia Windows Environment Introduction: Voice Match is a talking spelling practice for pre-school and elementary students. The student or parent can record a list of words using a sound card and microphone. Features: Two level of practice: . level 1, multiple choice answers . level 2, typing word directly from keyboard. Recording capability: . record any meaningful voice, in your own language. Requirements: Any IBM-PC or compatible with a digitized sound card, a microphone and Microsoft Windows. Packing List: VOICMACH.EXE - the executable file VBRUN300.DLL - Visual Basic Runtime mode dll MCI.VBX - Visual Basic DLL's used by Voice Match THREED.VBX - ..... CMDIALOG.VBX - ..... README.TXT - this file REGISTER.TXT - a registration form MYWORD.DIC - a small sample dictionary *.WAV - digitized wave files Installation procedures: 1. Create a new directory and name it C:\VOICEMCH (or something else appropriate). This can be done either at the DOS prompt or through the Windows File Manager (see the appropriate user's manual for specific instructions of the commands). 2. Copy the files to that directory. This can be done either at the DOS prompt or through the Windows File Manager. You could copy DLL's (*.VBX files) to the Windows system directory instead (see step 7). 3. From the Program Manager of Windows, select the FILE, NEW menu option. 4. Select Program Group and click the OK button. 5. For Description, enter Voice Match and click the OK button. 6. For Command Line, enter the name of the directory that you created in step 1 followed by \VOICEMCH.EXE and click the OK button (e.g. c:\VOICEMCH\VOICEMCH.EXE) 7. Ensure that you have a copy of VBRUN300.DLL in your Windows system directory or in the directory created in step 1. (Microsoft advises putting it and all *.VBX files in your Windows system directory). Registration Benefits: Voice Match is shareware, not freeware. To make it easy to register, I have included a registration form (file name is REGISTER.TXT) that can be edited with any ASCII text editor, such as DOS Edit or Windows Notepad. Registered users will receive the following benefits: . the latest version of Voice Match with all shareware notices removed and Visual Basic runtime module. . notification of future upgrades available at reduced rates to registered users . free technical support . custom programming available Distribution: Voice Match may be used by anyone FREE of charge, for an initial 30 day evaluation. Additionally, it may be distributed by Shareware companies for a reasonable fee not to exceed $8 per diskette. The requirement is that all of the files in the original package be included, and not altered.
