Picture Show is designed to be a lightweight and fast way to manage
images under MS Windows. The DBMS will point to your images and not
store your images a second time. This reduces the amount of storage
required, and any changes made to image files will be immediately
reflected in the DBMS. Thumbnail's can be displayed for any DB, but
are not displayed when a DB is opened. It can take a while to render
some image formats, so this is a decision based on speed.
The registered version will support a number of image formats including:
ART, BMP, CUT, DIB. GEM, GIF, HRZ, IFF, IMG, JPG, 
LBM, MAC, MSP, PCX, PIC, RAS, RLE, TGA, TIF, WMF, and WPG image file formats.
The unregistered version officially supports only BMP and PCX, however,
all 16 color and 256 color GIF image types are supported as well.
CompuServe downloads 128 color GIF images which this will not support.


Installation:

Execute picshow.exe from the directory were it was unzipped.
Images can be added, deleted and modified from the image 
management system. There is a menu option that will install
the screen saver module, as your default Windows screen saver.

In-order to utilize the screen saver, will will need to copy the
following files into your windows\system directory:
csform.vbx
threed.vbx
qpro200.dll
ctl3d.dll
cspictur.vbx
cmdialog.vbx


Setting Screen Saver Password Protection and Other control panel options:

After installing Picture Show as your screen saver, you can
add a password by going to the control panel, and choosing
the desktop icon. Enter screen saver setup, and you will be able to 
enter a password for your screen saver. (File/Run control.exe,
is the quickest way to start the control panel)
Actually you can set many options from the MS Windows control panel,
but these settings will NOT be reflected in your database. Changes
that you make to settings in Picture Show and then install will always
by in-sync.

*** IMPORTANT: ******
The file picshow.scr  must be present in the same directory
as picshow.exe, in-order to install the Windows Screen Saver. 
If these are not, an error will occur.
