INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Move the TOILET.EXE program to your WINDOWS directory.  Make sure that there is ever only one copy of TOILET.EXE on your system at a time, and that it is located in your WINDOWS directory (It doesn't HAVE to be there, but is seems to be the safest place!).  Once you have run TOILET.EXE you sould not move the program to a different directory.  The reason is, that if you have replaced the default recycle bin icon, Windows will need to look at TOILET.EXE each time it loads, and if you move it, all hell could break loose.  If you want to move or erase TOILET.EXE, make sure you run it, and set the icon to the default bin setting!  There is also a sound file included called FLUSH.WAV.  Copy this to your MEDIA directory.  You can then assign this sound file the the EMPTY RECYCLE BIN setting in your SOUND control panel.

USAGE:

Desktop Toilet is very easy to use.  When you launch it it will give you a visual list of the three possible settings for you recycle bin icon.  Simply select the one you want and press OK.  You will need to restart Windows each time you change the icon, which the program will do automatically.  DT will also change the recycle bin's label to read Toilet!

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

Desktop Toilet is a test program for a much more powerful utility that will be included in our retail release of EasyDesktop 6.0, which is our flagship menu program for Windows.  In our new Win95 version there will be a utility that will let you change all the static desktop icons including the My Computer one, to any of over 75 choices!
