Sextant is a program that allows you to easily manage the bookmarks created by Netscape’s popular Web browser program, Netscape Navigator. In the opinion of the author, it is much faster and easier than Netscape’s own bookmark editor ("View Bookmarks"). Sextant is ShareWare, with a registration fee of $15. It is freely distributable, as long as the entire file SEXTNT15.ZIP is distributed intact. SEXTNT15.ZIP includes the following files: README.TXT (this file) DDEML.DL_ INITIAL.GI_ LICENSE.HT_ QPRO200.DL_ SETUP.EXE SETUP.LST SETUP1.EX_ SETUPKIT.DL_ SEXTANT.EX_ SEXTHELP.HT_ TRUEGRID.VB_ VER.DL_ In order to run Sextant, you must have VBRUN300.DLL in your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM subdirectory. This file is available free from most public file archives. To contact the author, please send e-mail to wsirota@mind.net or surface mail to: WS Designs PO Box 75 Jacksonville, OR 97530 USA Installation 1. Create a temporary subdirectory and unzip all the files in sextant.zip into that subdirectory. 2. Run SETUP.EXE. 3. To start Sextant, double-click on its icon in the Program Manager. 4. Sextant’s Tutorial and extensive on-line help is in the form of an HTML file. Start your Windows TCP manager program (the one that you start prior to starting Netscape), switch to Sextant, and press for instructions. 5. Once Sextant is running and you know how to get help, copy this file (README.TXT) from the temporary subdirectory to the location of your choice and then delete the temporary subdirectory. If you have a "Permission denied" error, insert the statement: C:\DOS\SHARE into your AUTOEXEC.BAT file and reboot. If you experience any other errors, please send e-mail to wsirota@mind.net. Thank you for trying Sextant.
