JumpStart Description

GETTING STARTED:
As well as a Windows Help File, this program has a feature included which 
guides the new user through the initial steps. This is called "Beginner 
Help", and is to be found under the menu item titled "Xtras".
When first run, the program should start up with "Beginner Help" active.

The program may be started from within Windows, or from the DOS command 
line. Windows will be started by JumpStart, if not already running.

The following are suitable command line (or batch file) statements:

             C:\JUMP\JMPSTART
             Using whatever drive and directory you have choosen.
         or
             WIN JMPSTART,   OR JMPSTART
             From within the JumpStart directory, or anywhere, if you elect 
             to include the the choosen directory to your PATH statement.
             (Autoexec.bat file).

This program allows for the storing of 2000 program entries as text strings
in a tabular format of 10 off two page configurations. Programs may be 
launched with a single mouse click.

DESCRIPTION AND ORGANISATION:
The intent of the program is to permit fast location and launching of 
Windows, and DOS under Windows programs.  It avoids the  sometimes 
frustrating search in and out of the program manager groups - (does it have 
an icon ??) - for that elusive program. Customisation features that allow 
tidy organisation of your programs are:- grouping by subject heading, 
colour coding of text and background colour, per entry or by group, and the 
possibility of repeating entries under different headings, to ensure you 
find it where you are looking for it.   

OTHER FEATURES:
Many fast keys are programmed in to facilitate access.  Appending of command
line switches / parameters is also included, so that, for example, you may 
run up Notepad with a designated file to load, such as "autoexec.bat". 
Note that you can configure windows help files to run with a line such as.. 
     "c:\windows\winhelp.exe c:\windows\soundrec.hlp"  

Startup programs may be set into each of the 10 configurations. This is 
similar to the Program  Manager's Start Up group.  A full windows help file,
and a feature called "Beginner Help",  are available to assist in getting 
started and operating the program.

The program has been designed to make meagre use of your precious system 
resources.  

INSTALLATION (Auto or Manual):
An "Install.txt" file describes a manual installation procedure, and lists 
and describes all files used.  This assists with de-installation if required.
An automated installation file "Setup.exe" is also included.
