	This is the shareware distribution containing the pmSoftware
	pmLaunch program.

	pmLaunch - desktop icons by pmSoftware

	pmLaunch is a simple Windows utility that lets you put
	application and file object icons on the desktop.  This program
	does not replace the program manager, as some other desktop
	programs do.

	If you have spent a lot of time selecting a nice wallpaper and
	would like to see it, use pmLaunch to put your favorite
	applications right on the desktop, arranged around the wallpaper
	to suit your tastes.  The applications or files get launched by
	a double-click, or the <ENTER> key if the icon is selected.  The
	browse features built into the program allow you to select
	applications and the icons that represent them.  Using file
	associations, you can put a document on your desktop to launch
	the application.  You may choose icons from any .EXE, .DLL, or
	.ICO file on available disks.

	The registered version has these additional features:
	- 3D appearance to the dialog box
	- Icons can accept drag and drop files
	- Windows resource gauge window
	- Screen Saver activator

	Installation Instructions:

	From the Program Manager File Menu, select Run, then type in
	A:SETUP (this assumes that the pmLaunch disk is in drive A:).
	Follow the on-screen instructions.

	To use pmLaunch, add it to one of your favorite groups, or to
	the StartUp group if you want the program to run each time you
	start up Windows.  You may alternatively add it to your "run="
	line in WIN.INI.  Set the Program Manager "minimize on use"
	option to let you start with a "clean" desktop (wallpaper
	visible).

	This program provides documentation via the on-line help
	available when the program is running.	(Why cut down more
	trees?)
