============================= Creepy Crawlies Screen Saver. ============================= by Mark Billingham. ----------------------------- Creepy Crawlies is a standard Windows screen saver with many options. Installation. ------------- The screen saver is supplied as a single .ZIP file called CREEPY.ZIP This file should be unzipped into you its own directory where it creates 4 files: CREEPY.SCR the screen saver. CREEPY.TXT instructions and registering info. README.TXT readme file INSTALL.BAT installation batch file. To install Creepy Crawlies run install.bat from the directory where these 4 files reside. Once installed the screen saver is accessed via the Windows Control Panel. General Options. ---------------- Blank Screen - If this option is checked the screen is blanked when the screen saver starts up. Leave Trails - If this option is checked the creepy crawlies leave trails behind them. Group Options. -------------- N.B. Only 1 group can be set up in the un-registered version. These options set the type and behavior of the creepy crawlies groups. Type - Selects the type of creepy crawlie. Colour - You can select one of 15 colours or 'Random' which selects the colour of each creepy crawlie randomly. Number - How many creepy crawlies there are. Tail Length - How long the creepy crawlies are. Wiggliness - Low values cause the creepy crawlies to crawl in straight lines, high values make them very 'wiggly'. Light Related Options. ---------------------- When the light is active the creepy crawlies will crawl towards it. The following options determine how the creepy crawlies behave in respect to the light. Light On - Check this option if you want a light for the creepy crawlies to congregate around. Show Light - Check this option if you want the light to be shown on screen when it is on. Light On Time \_ These options determine when the light appears Light Off Time / and disappears. Independance - When the light is on the creepy crawlies do not always head straight for it. Some of the time they do their own thing. This options sets the percentage of the time that they do there own thing. A value of 0 means that when th light appears they head straight for it. A value of 100 means they will ignore the light completly. Presets. -------- The best way to find out how these all these options work and how flexible the options are is to try the presets. Simply select a preset from the combo box and press 'Apply'. All the options above will be setup for you. Un-Registered Version. ---------------------- You are free to distrubute the un-registered version of the Creepy Crawlies screensaver provided you do not Registered Version. ------------------- What do you get in the registered version ? 1. You can turn on up to 4 groups of creepy crawlies at the same time. They can all be different and have different behavior. 2. The password options are available. 3. There are more presets, including ones that set up more than one group. 4. You get the DESKTOP version. Creepy crawlies run around your desktop and behind your Windows all the time !!!!
