1-2-3 Release 2 - Slow Screen Refresh & Loading of Worksheets.

         The reason for the apparently slower screen refresh is that the
    new version uses DOS calls ( for Top View compatibility) instead of
    writing directlty to the screen buffer as in earlier versions.

         On some occasions when loading a very large and complex worksheet
    the retrieval time is substantially longer than for version 1A. You
    should notice an improved performance by using the following macro in
    the AUTO123.WK1 file when starting Lotus 1-2-3 Version 2:

         '/{PANELOFF}{BREAKOFF}{WINDOWSOFF}FCCEAUTO~/WEY

         The files AUTO123.WK1 and AUTO.WK1 will be the first files loaded
    when first starting Lotus 1-2-3 Version 2. You then load your own files
    in the usual way. We used a 220k. worksheet which loaded in 4.5 mins
    before using the above macro. Now the file loads in just over one and a
    half minutes - a 300% improvement! We hope this macro brings all Lotus
    1-2-3 Version 2 an equal benefit.
