Adopt-A-Door

  The Adopt-A-Door program is designed to help your favorite BBS's Sysop cut
expenses and allow you to become a door sponsor.  The program is simple, if you
like a particular game or utility door and would like to see it become a
perminent door on this system, you send a small donation to the Sysop to cover
registration fees.  All door authors expect to get paid for the work they do in
producing doors for your entertainment.  The average registration fee for a
shareware door is $20.00.  At this rate you can see how costly it could become
for a Sysop to pay for the many doors available.  Your donation along with
donations from other users can offset these costs and allow the Sysop to bring
new doors to the board for your enjoyment.  Doors that no one likes will be
eliminated after their evaluation period, usually 30 days.
Donations of any amount will be accepted and put towards the designated
doors registration fee.
The donor's name will be entered in a file showing who sponsored that door
and will be displayed each time the door is used.  In addition, the user will
be given a special security level which will allow him/her enough time to use
the adopted door as well as do other board functions.
