This program was written due to the frustration of getting a BBS phone
number that I wanted to call and having no indication of where the BBS
was located!!
It is based on three key values:
                                 AREA CODE
                                 STATE ABBREVIATION
                                 MAJOR CITY WITHIN AREA CODE/STATE
All keys are sort fields, with area code being the primary.  The state
fields are the recognized two letter abbreviations.  Don't worry, when
you are at any of the state fields or have just displayed an inquiry
list pressing PF1 will dislpay the FULL state name along with the two
letter abbreviation.
I have included a maintenance program just in case you don't like the
major cities that I have included, or just want to expand the data.

ACL - Area Code Locator is a "Shareware" program - it is NOT free!!!!
Registration, which costs $5.00 will entitle you to the latest version
along with all enhancements. The latest version and other programs are
available for downloading from InfoTech BBS. Suggestions are always
welcome... feel free to contact me on InfoTech BBS.

ACL (AREA CODE LOCATOR) may be distributed to your friends and uploaded
                        to other BBS provided that the ENTIRE AC_LOCTR
                        ZIP file is distributed or uploaded in it's
                        ORIGINAL state. NO fee beyond a small copying
                        cost (limited to the cost of diskette) may be
                        charged for this program! In any case, the fee
                        may not exceed $2.00.
TO RUN ALC:
           Type AREA to initiate the batch file AREA.BAT
           The executable programs and files should all
           be in the same directory or in your path stmt.
           When the menu appears select the INQUIRY by
           placing the highlight bar over it and pressing
           ENTER.
           The next options available are the type of key
           access you want and the partial or exact option
           Pressing PF1 will display help windows to aid
           you in your selection....

           PLEASE BACK-UP THE DATA FILES "ACFILE.DAT" AND
           "ACFILE.NDX" - THESE ARE THE LISTS OF DATA YOU
           USE IN THE PROGRAMS...  A SIMPLE DOS COPY WILL
           DO THE TRICK, THEN STORE THE BACK-UP.

Collectors of Coins and Baseball Cards will be interested in the two
other full Management programs that I have written.  These programs,
like ACL, are written in "C" and feature extensive sort and report
capabilities, on-line help, "pick-list" windows for fast data entry,
and operate on color or mono IBM and compatibles. Call InfoTech and
look for these and other fine programs...
