Park-it is a utility that will park the heads of all the fixed disks found on the system. It logically moves the heads to the farthest part of the disk, which is the least likely area to have information on it. How is Park-it run? Park-it is simply executed by typing the name at the DOS prompt, like so: C:\>PARK The program will then search for all avaliable disks and procede to park the heads. After all the heads are parked, an off switch will be displayed. At that time you can turn off the computer, reboot with CTRL-ALT-DEL or press ESC to abort. What are the requirements of Park-it? Park-it is very flexable, it just requires that you have some memory, and a harddisk. How much does Park-it cost? Park-it is very cheep, it costs the price of a stamp. A stamp? Yes, I am not asking for some enormous registration fee, all I ask for is a letter telling me how you like it, why, why not, etc...but donations arn't discouraged. I want to hear your comments.
