IMPAIRED is a special soft font, for the HP LaserJet II, specifically
designed for printing materials to be read by persons who suffer from
severe visual impairment.  The bold, proportionately spaced, uppercase
characters print 7.5 lines per inch, with approximately 72 characters
(maximum) per line.  Though blurry to standard vision, this type style
provides maximum distinction between letters for easy recognition by
individuals whose sight is limited.

IMPAIRED is extremely useful both for personal use, if your sight is
waning, to still be able to prepare and read your own printed notes,
reports etc.--and for those who are creating books or reference
materials for others with visual impairment.

The complete source code, written in Microsoft C, is provided for
modifying the font.

A recommended companion PC-SIG program is "Word Processing For Kids"
(disk #343) which features extra large characters on the screen.
