Notes for WinTrail ================== Included in Wtrail.zip should be the following files: Wintrail.exe Wintrail.hlp Threed.vbx Readme.txt - this file Unzip the file into a new sub-directory; for example, WINTRAIL. Copy THREED.VBX into your WINDOWS\SYSTEM sub-directory. You also need VBRUN200.DLL in that sub- directory (not supplied with this zip file, but readily available on Compuserve). From the File Manager drag WINTRAIL.EXE to the program group of your choice; you will see the WinTrail icon appear. Remember, to load automatically every time Windows starts, just enter Wintrail on the 'load=' line in your WIN.INI; for example load=c:\wintrail\wintrail.exe. Program Description =================== WinTrail shows you the programs you have been running during any one day in Windows. It lists those programs with the start times and duration of each. You can use it to monitor your own activity in Windows; it will also record any activity on your machine while you are away. You could also use it to monitor the activity of any staff you have, if you are concerned that they are spending too much time playing Solitaire! If the program is turned off then the down-time is recorded when it is re-started; screen savers are recorded as periods of inactivity. A print out (or text file) is available at the end of each day, showing all activity chronologically, and with a summary. But be warned - the previous day's details are lost at the start of each new day so you must print the summary at the end of each day if you want to keep a record.
