ProComm 2.4.3

    This is the definitive version of our "shareware" communications program.
It can be downloaded from this board and from many other boards across the
nation. The version number is announced in the opening screen of the program.

    As "shareware" the program remains the copyrighted property of DATASTORM
TECHNOLOGIES, NC. Registering the program grants license for use, and access
to technical support. This version was issued in January, 1989.

PROCOMM PLUS

    Version 2.0, released January of 1991, includes internal ZMODEM, 33
terminal emulations, full EGA/VGA and 132 column support, a new, faster
compiled ASPECT script language, enhanced Dialing Directory with sorting,
attached notes, and much, much more.  Please see the WHATSNEW.TXT file inthe
PLUS download area for details.  Mainenance release (2.01 version) released
June, 1991 corrects some minor terminal emulation problems, fixes 16550 flow
problem, supports early versions of DOS and corrects problems in ASPECT.

PROCOMM PLUS "Test Drive"

This is an evaluation, or "test drive it before you buy it" version of our
commercial program, PROCOMM PLUS 1.1B.  It is available for download from this
and other boards.  Test Drive versions of PROCOMM PLUS will no longer have a
version number on them.  Instead they will be designated by the release date.
The current version is the SEPTEMBER 1988 version.  This vesion does NOT
reflect the current 2.0 version.

PROCOMM PLUS Network Version

PROCOMM PLUS Network Version is designed to work with third-party
network asynchronous communications servers (ACS). PROCOMM PLUS Network
Version works in conjunction with the ACS to allow workstations on the
network to access services on the ACS. This eliminates the need for
individual modems on workstations and allows users to "share" modems on
the ACS (and on other workstations).

PROCOMM PLUS Network Version is designed to communicate with the
following asynchronous communications server "application program
interface" protocols:

NCSI/NASI                    used by Network Product Corporation's ACS2
                             and NMP products, Novell's NACS, Gateway's
                             G/ASYNCH II, and others

BAPI                         used by 3Com's PCS/XNS and other produts.

NETCI (GENERIC INT 6B hex)   used by Ungermann-Bass networks and other
                             products that support the "generic Int 6B"
                             interface

ACSI                         used by IBM's ACS and LANACS, AT&T's
                             StarLan AGS (Asynchronous Gateway Server),
                             and others

EBIOS (INT 14 hex)           used by a variety of ACS products such as
                             J&L's NCS and Chatterbox; also IBM LANCS
                             (LAN Asynchronous Connection Server)

The version currently in release is ver. 1.0.

HOT WIRE

HOT WIRE is a full-featured, stand-alone 'File Transfer/Disk Management'
utility software package.  It provides a way to transfer files and manage
disks between 3 1/2" and 5 1/4" disk formats on different machines with a
minimum additional investment in hardware and software. HOT WIRE features
include the ability to transfer data through direct connections as well as
with modems, a powerful macro facility, a menu bar with point-and-shoot dual
directory display and simultaneous logging of multiple disk drives.

The current version in release is 1.0.
