Ken Deen's THE AGGRESSIVE TRADER SELL ALERT 1339 Virginia Rd. Vol. 1, No. 34 Montecito, CA 93108 April 8, 1992 (805) 565-2039 CompuServe: 72020,2050 SELL Isco Inc. (Nasdaq: ISKO) * This morning I sold ISKO at 18 1/2. I bought this on Jan. 17 at 24 (see Vol.1 #8). SELL Ohio Art (Amex: OAR) * Today I sold OAR at 44 5/8. I bought this on Feb. 24 at 53 (see Vol.1 #19). Model Portfolio: No trades Discussion: Isco Inc. Isco started breaking down in February, after reaching a high of 27 1/2. For most of March the stock was in a tailspin. The March 5 earnings news, while very good (29 cents vs. 17 cents), nevertheless fell short of Street estimates and contributed to the decline. The earnings report did represent a deceleration in growth rate from recent prior quarters. After five weeks of breaking down and no sign of a turnaround, I am cutting my loss. Discussion: Ohio Art On Feb. 21, Ohio Art gapped up and traded between as low as 44 and as high as 51. Since then, it has been bouncing around between these two price points, but with a decided tendency to settle at the lower end of this range. Although the stock remains very attractive from a fundamentals point-of-view, it now appears more likely that OAR will break out of this 44-to-51 range to the downside rather than the upside. Again, I am cutting my loss.
