NORTON DESKTOP for DOS - FAXBACK INFORMATION
Subject: DR-DOS 6.00 TIPS

PROBLEM:

Crashes during installation or running under DR-DOS.

386 systems using DR-DOS version 6.00 may "hang" during 
intallation and possibly while running due to conflict between the 
386 memory manager and the Virtual Memory Manager built into the 
Norton Desktop.

RECOMMENDATION:

Add the following statements to the "AUTOEXEC.BAT" or type them 
at the command line.

     SET RTVMEXT=0
     SET RTOVEXT=0

This will prevent the VMM overlay manager from using EXTENDED 
memory.


PROBLEM:

ND hangs when started on a system that uses DR-DOS and 
Quarterdeck's QEMM.

RECOMMENDATION:

Always run ND using the following parameter when using QEMM with 
DR-DOS:

     ND /NOHMA
