NORTON DESKTOP for DOS - FAXBACK INFORMATION
Subject: Problems Running Windows 386 Enhanced Mode

PROBLEM:

You are unable to launch Windows in 386 Enhanced Mode from 
within Norton Desktop for DOS.

RECOMMENDATION:

The probable cause is that the Norton Cache (NCACHE2) was 
installed and is using all available XMS or EMS memory.  Do the
following to reduce the amount of memory used by the cache:

*    From the Desktop Configure menu, select Startup Programs.  

*    Highlight the Norton Cache and press Alt+F to configure.

*    Set the cache to use Extended Memory.

*    Set the cache size for DOS to leave at least 16k available.

*    Set the Windows cache size to leave a minimum of 1 meg 
     available.
