Using SQZ! On A Network LOTUS 1-2-3 RELEASE 2.x SQZ! must be installed in the startup directory Ä where the "123" or "LOTUS" command is typed. If you are in Lotus, you can usually determine the startup directory by typing / Add-In Attach. The path shown on the screen is usually the startup directory. At that point, the SQZ.ADN Add-In file should appear in the list of files. SQZ! will not attach itself properly if you have to change to another directory to find the SQZ.ADN Add-In file. Scenario 1: You start 1-2-3 from you personal subdirectory on the server. Solution 1: Copy the SQZ.ADN Add-In file to your personal subdirectory on the server. Scenario 2: You start 1-2-3 from a menu program. Solution 2: Determine what subdirectory from which the menu executes the "123" command by typing / Add-In Attach. Copy the SQZ.ADN Add-In file to that subdirectory. Scenario 3: You start 1-2-3 from the Lotus 1-2-3 subdirectory on the server. Solution 3: Copy the SQZ.ADN file to the Lotus 1-2-3 subdirectory on the server. By doing so, everyone can access SQZ! and squeezed files. There is no copy or sharing protection of the SQZ.ADN Add-In file, but you should purchase one copy of the SQZ! package for each person that will be using SQZ! at the same time so that everyone will have a User's Manual. LOTUS 1-2-3 RELEASE 3.1x Installing SQZ! in 1-2-3 3.1x is much more flexible than in 1-2-3 2.x. Install the SQZ! files in any subdirectory, either on the server or on a local drive. Then, in 1-2-3, customize SQZ! to load automatically from that drive and subdirectory. Make sure all of the necessary SQZ! files are loaded in the same subdirectory. Do NOT move the SQZ.PLC Add-In file or any other SQZ! file to a different subdirectory. If you have any questions, please contact SQZ! Technical Support. SQZ!
